“Tommy and his team were excellent workers, they replaced my flat roof on my extension, removed spray foam from my loft, and replaced my roof with a new one, also releaded a chimney and removed a chimney. Very friendly team, cleaned up after themselves every day.”

Emergency roof repairs across Ipswich, Suffolk and the Essex border, 24 hours a day. Made safe and made watertight first, documented for the insurer, then quoted properly in daylight.
In an emergency the job is not to fix the roof. It is to stop the water, make the structure safe, and document the damage properly while the evidence is still there. The permanent repair comes after, in daylight, priced calmly.
The work
What emergency roof repairs covers
- Active leaks and water ingressFirst priority is finding the entry point and stopping it, then getting the water that is already in the structure a path out before it spreads across ceilings.
- Storm-lifted tiles, ridges and vergesTemporary sheeting and mechanical securing on the night, full re-fix once the weather passes. We do not leave a tarpaulin held down with blocks.
- Tree and impact damageMade safe first, including anything at risk of falling into a garden or the street. Photographed in place before anything is moved, because loss adjusters ask.
- Torn flat roof membranesSplit felt and lifted EPDM sheeted and sealed to hold until a proper replacement can be programmed.
- Chimney and stack instabilityLoose pots, cracked flaunching and leaning stacks after high wind. Made safe or taken down to a safe course the same visit if there is any risk of collapse.
- Insurance documentationTimestamped photographs, a written cause-and-effect report and an itemised estimate in the format insurers actually accept.
How we quote and how we work
Call the number and a roofer answers, not a call centre and not an answering service. We triage on the phone first, because some of what gets reported as an emergency at 11pm is safely a morning job and we will tell you so rather than charge you for a night visit you did not need. If it is genuinely urgent we give you a realistic arrival time, not an optimistic one.
Where this work usually goes wrong
Emergency work is where corners get cut hardest, because nobody inspects it afterwards. We photograph the temporary works as well as the damage, so you can see exactly what was done at 2am, and the temporary fix is specified to survive the rest of the storm rather than just the next hour.
What moves the price. Emergency attendance is charged as a call-out plus the making-safe works, quoted before we start wherever the situation allows. The permanent repair is quoted separately in daylight, and there is no obligation to use us for it.

Straight answers
Emergency Roof Repairs: common questions
Do you really answer 24 hours a day?
Yes, seven days a week, and a roofer answers rather than a call handler. What we will not do is promise a two-hour arrival at 3am in the middle of a named storm when that is not deliverable.
What counts as a roofing emergency?
Water actively entering the property, anything structurally unsafe or at risk of falling, and storm damage that will get significantly worse before morning. Everything else is safely a next-day job, and we will say so.
Will my insurance cover storm damage?
Usually, where the damage is sudden and storm-related rather than gradual wear. We provide the timestamped photographs and the written report that claims are assessed on, and we deal with the adjuster directly if that helps.
Do I have to use you for the permanent repair?
No. Making safe and the permanent repair are separate jobs and separately quoted. Plenty of people use the emergency service and get the full works quoted elsewhere.
