Stable and stud buildings make an emergency here different from a domestic one. The area underneath is cleared and closed off before anyone goes up. A partly lifted profiled sheet is held by a few fixings and the next gust takes it, so we remove it rather than try to hold it down, then secure the open span. Horses come off that side first. Replacement sheet is fitted in daylight.
Kill the electrics to that circuit, move what you can and get a bucket under it. If the ceiling is bulging, pierce it in one spot with a screwdriver and let the water run into the bucket, because a loaded ceiling comes down in one piece. Then leave the roof alone and wait for us. Making safe is done from above.
