Emergency roof repairs in Woodbridge start eight miles from our door, about twenty minutes up the A12, so IP12 and IP13 sit comfortably inside the two hour daylight window. The stock is what changes the job once we are there. Much of the town centre is Georgian, Listed or inside a conservation area, and the coverings are hand-made clay pantile and Welsh slate that no merchant will sell you at midnight. River-facing elevations along the Deben take a damp, persistent wind that keeps north slopes wet and pushes moss into the laps, so a gust that lifts one pantile very often lifts the three sitting around it.
