Complete re-roof, Lancaster Road
A full strip and relay on a Victorian terrace in Ipswich town centre. Old covering and battens off, structure checked, new breathable membrane and treated battens, then the new covering laid to gauge.
Our own photographs from our own jobs, across Suffolk, Norfolk and the Essex border.
Everything below is one of our own jobs, photographed on site: complete re-roofs in Ipswich, Diss, North Walsham and on the Sheringham seafront, a conservatory converted to a warm composite slate roof in Walsoken near Wisbech, a chimney stack taken down and rebuilt on Lancaster Road, and brickwork ground out and repointed in Woodbridge.
Every job is photographed as we go and those photographs go to the customer with the invoice, including the parts of the roof you can never see from the ground. If you want to see work close to you specifically, ask when you call and we will point you at the nearest one.

The old glazed roof made the room unusable in winter and unbearable in summer. We stripped it, built an insulated structure and finished it in composite slate. Drag the handle to see the difference. Same room, twelve months of use.

A failed stack on Lancaster Road taken down to a safe course and rebuilt, with new lead trays, fresh flaunching and the original pots reset.
A full re-roof on Humber Doucy Lane, IP4. Every solar panel was removed, the roof stripped and relaid, then the whole array reinstalled and recommissioned on the new covering.
The old glazed conservatory roof was replaced with an insulated composite slate warm roof, so the room stays usable in winter and stays cooler in summer instead of being written off half the year.
A complete re-roof on a flint and brick holiday home on the Sheringham seafront, where salt air and onshore wind had finished the old covering early. New membrane, battens and clay pantiles with the valleys reformed.
A full strip and relay on a red-brick Victorian property on Pound Road, North Walsham, finished in clay tiles to match the original.
A rendered Suffolk cottage where the strip revealed failed rafters. The defective timbers were replaced, new insulation went in, and the clay pantiles went back on over a new membrane. This is exactly the sort of thing you cannot price until the covering is off.
A full strip and relay finished in grey interlocking tiles, with the hips and valleys reformed and dry-fix ridge throughout.
Failed mortar joints ground out and repointed on a period property in Woodbridge, matched to the original so the repair does not read from the street. Cement over lime is how you crack a period wall.
